They talk about religion, both Christian and pagan, runes and anything else the teacher wants to talk about. They have a saga in the afternoon which most kids will have a part to play which includes a king, a wedding of a king, divorce, a sea journey, a battle, a death of a king & the last Viking boat burial. 10.00am – 6.00pm ART & PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION
Attention all artists, this exhibition is for you! It is open to all. If you cannot make the closing date of 5th July 2010 then there is always next year. We are getting stronger every year, with just under 800 people taking time to walk around the exhibition and vote for their favourite piece of artwork and photograph, we had 101 art entries and 79 photos but we definitely would like more artists to exhibit, so look out paintings you have done and not exhibited with us before and show them! We have all standards, so “fear not”. We have even showed embroidery and woodwork. Most of the work is for sale, so there is a chance to get an early Xmas present for that favourite person in your life. If you are not on our mailing list and would like an entry form, either collect one from the Festival Ticket Office in The London Cigarette Card Shop in West Street at the exit of the Cox’s Yard car park, or phone 01458 274594 for Margaret Somerville who says “ A big thank-you to all those people who helped with the setting up etc. It couldn’t have been done without you, I very much hope you can give your valuable time again this year.”Exhibitor`s entry forms and information are available from the festival ticket office. A charge of £1.00 will be made for each hung picture and 50pence for pictures to go in the trough." We would point out that only ONE picture per person will be NOT be for sale, so this is a wonderful opportunity to purchase an original piece by a local artist. Click Here
The exhibition will be open for five days so you will have plenty of time to pop in and vote for your favourite in the “People’s Choice Competition”.
