8.00pm WEST COUNTRY EVENING WITH MARTIN SMITH
You may have been to see Martin Smith at last year’s Festival and enjoyed his special kind of humour at the Oompah Night. This year Martin will bring his talents to an evening devoted to the West Country. Relatively local, Martin comes from Trowbridge, he will be performing songs, tales and comedy, a mixture, something like the Worzels and the best of the West Country comedians. Less interactive than the Oompah night but guaranteed to be a lot of fun.

8.00pm COMPLETE MADNESS with support band APACHE
Complete Madness was formed in 1994 from a previous band called ‘Beat the System’. Between 1994 and 1998 the guys evolved a style from rock/jazz through a ‘new wave’ era until finally deciding that the music of ‘Madness’ and the ‘Specials’ was to be their thing. It was what they were good at and what they most enjoyed playing. Since that decision the band have not looked back and turned professional soon afterwards. The line-up has changed little in the past 15years so they have had time to practise and perfect their performance. As with the original ‘Madness’ they are a little bit crazy as well, so it should be a lot of fun too! Previous appearances include Butlins, cruise ships and entertaining servicemen both in the UK and abroad. Band members are Dan – Sax, Chris – Keyboards & vocals, Mark – lead vocals, Derek – Guitar and vocals, Jeff – Drums and Geoff – Sound engineer. For more details check out their website: www.completemadness.net
Supporting Complete Madness this evening are local band Apache who appeared last year in the evening dedicated to new young bands. They did so well we thought they deserved a spot in the marquee with a larger audience. Apache are a 'Rock n Roll' band who incorporate influences such as The Beatles, Oasis, The Enemy, The Jam, Stereophonics, Stone Roses, Happy Mondays and The Who into an exciting, yet melodic sound. The group are: Andrew Morgan - vocals & guitar (shared lead & rhythm) Deano Hunt - backing vocals & guitar (shared lead & rhythm) Pete Whitcombe - on the bass Andy Hamilton - drums & percussion. Apache are a four piece Rock 'n' Roll band who embrace and are influenced by the greatest groups of popular music history. Conceived in 2007, the group have since been based in the city of Wells. Appearing all over the South West region, the band’s award winning song writing has enthralled many audiences. Apache expect to continue to broaden their musical and geographical horizons over the coming months and aim to take their exciting and melodic sound to the largest stadiums and audiences possible.
A selection of Bar-B-Q meats and vegetarian options will be available 1 hour before the start of the Event and throughout the evening.
