Welcome to the Somerton Summer Arts Festiuval

FESTIVAL DINNER DANCE

Saturday 23rd October 2010

The annual Dinner Dance this year will be held at The Long Sutton Golf Club on Saturday 23rd October. The evening will commence with a 3-course meal with coffee (vegetarians catered for). After the meal, we will be entertained with a live band. They will keep you on the dance floor for the rest of the evening.

Tickets will cost £27.50, which includes transport to and from Somerton and The Long Sutton Golf Club. Return transport to Somerton will probably have some community singing!!!

If you have not been to one of the Festival’s dinner dances before, why not get together with a group of friends for a really enjoyable evening. There will be no long speeches - it is an informal event, but we ask that the gentlemen wear a tie and jacket.

Booking forms and full details of the event are available from the Festival ticket office.

Junk Male formed in 2004, they are a six piece band of mad keen rock musicians. Describing their music as ‘Old Gold re-told’, the band plays a wide range of popular classics from Satisfaction and Brown sugar to Sultans of Swing and Black Magic Woman. The band take pride in the fact that everywhere they’ve played, people have got up and danced... even in restaurants where they weren't supposed to! Junk Male now play in public gigs all over the county and further afield- from clubs, pubs and restaurants in Bristol to Stately Home parties in Dorset. And they have played twice at the BBC’s social club including the staff Christmas party in Bristol.

Booking your seats early for this event would be advisable, as it always proves popular
