For just over a week every July Somerton has a Festival. During this week we try to include as many types of music as we can, this may be any or all of the following, and some we have forgotten to list here;

Male Voice Choirs	Classical	Organ Recitals
New Bands	Jazz	Barbershop

And Many More For Your Enjoyment!

Whilst people are singing, dancing or listening to that assortment we also offer other events such as:-

Market & Craft Fair	Free Family Fun Day	Young Musician of the Year
Drama	Church Service	School Workshops
Talks	Art Exhibition	Historic Walks
Super Brain Quiz	Comedy	Morris Dancing

A souvenir programme full of information is published each year with free to enter competitions. Its fair to say that there really is something for everyone.

When the original Festival was thought of it's aims were:-

To promote Somerton by investing in a culture which encourages Community involvement & enjoyment

To bring a varied programme of professional entertainment to Somerton, including the funding of developmental & educational events at the schools.

To provide value for money, by keeping ticket prices as low as possible and by providing free family entertainment where possible
