COUNTRY & WESTERN with DENVER SPUR
We welcome back Denver Spur to our festival, who last appeared in 2005 with great success. The Spur, as they affectionately known by other musicians in their home county of Somerset, have been a prominent part of the musical establishment of the South West since 1970 when they were formed by Dave Beck as a cabaret band out of a larger, highly regarded dance band called The San Antones. JULIE DUNN with PETE MAXFIELD
Sassy Jazz Vocalist/Pianist Julie Dunn returns to this year's festival together with dynamic Acoustic Bassist Pete Maxfield [also appearing incidentally with the Monfi Cats the night before!] for an evening of popular jazz , blues and latin favourites - think Ipanema, Fever and artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Sinatra and Diana Krall.  She'll also be performing some great new arrangements of jazz standards from her brand new cd What's it All About - specially written for the album by Cleo Laine's pianist John Horler (who also appears on the album and is featured on Julie's website www.juliedunn.co.uk ) If you want to know what you're in store for, here's what a couple of reviewers had to say when she brought out her debut album a couple of years ago: "Dunn possesses a rich vocal timbre, big range and can also conjure up some wonderful backing vocals..."Peter Quinn, Jazzwise "The music is simply irresistible both for those who are jazz fans and those who are not..." RADIO MATTERS WITH HEDLI NIKLAUS (KATHY PERKS) AND TREVOR HARRISON (EDDIE GRUNDY) FROM BBC RADIO 4'S 'THE ARCHERS'

Calling all Archer's addicts!!!

Come and enjoy an entertaining evening with Hedli Niklaus (Kathy Perks) and Trevor Harrison (Eddie Grundy) from BBC Radio 4's long-running soap 'The Archers'
Between them Hedli and Trevor have notched up over fifty years of radio experience, ranging from plays and poems to programmes for children. Few can forget their magical presentation of Wiggly Park! They are of course most well known for their portrayals of the long suffering Kathy Perks (after all, she lives next door to the Grundys) and Eddie Grundy (who Trevor calls a loveable rogue, 'though others have a different name for him). They'll take you on a roller coaster ride, describing the pitfalls and pleasures of working in theatre, television and radio. You'll have the opportunity to meet the actors for a chat during the evening and perhaps purchase some Archers memorabilia. Ask them any questions you like and they've promised they'll do their best to answer them. One thing's for sure, you will certainly find out why, to Hedli and Trevor, 'Radio Matters'.www.archers-addicts.com
