SOMERTON SHOPS & SERVICES DIRECTORY 2011 - 2012
The Association is now in the process of producing the 12th edition of
the Somerton Shops & Services Directory 2011/2012 that will be
printed in full colour. The 2009/2010 edition received a very good
response from both the business and the local community.
The 2011/2012 edition will be ready for distribution early 2011. This
will be delivered to over 11,300 addresses by the Royal Mail door to
door delivery service who guarantee delivery to every letter box in the
postal areas TA10, TA11 and TA12, which includes Somerton, Langport,
Martock and surrounding villages.
Members of the Association will receive a FREE line entry under there
chosen category heading, ie Accountants, Bed and Breakfast, Builders,
etc. with their address, phone number, fax number, mobile number, E-Mail
address and website address if required.
You do not have to be a member of the association to have an entry or
advert in the directory. If you are not a member and have a Business in
Somerton the membership fee is only £30.00, which will take you through
to December 1st 2011, and of course you will get your FREE line entry
saving £22.00.
If you wish to join please send your membership fee with your order form for entry in to the directory.
Professional artwork not necessary – printers will typeset and we will
send you a proof copy of all your entries before publication. All
adverts are in full colour

SOMERTON BUSINESS & TRADE DIRECTORY 2009 – 2010
First published in 1987 it has proved to be a very useful addition to the main directories. Somerton is small by many standards but shops carry an outstanding range of stock and quality, providing a personal service that still makes shopping in Somerton a pleasure, this also applies to the wide range of non retail services it has to offer.
This 11th edition was distributed free to all letter boxes in the TA10, TA11 and TA12 postal addresses, which covers Langport, Somerton, Martock and the surrounding areas, over 11,200 copies. If any extra copies are required they are available from the London Cigarette Card Company situated in West Street at the entrance to the Brunel Shopping Precinct car park in Somerton.
For 2009-10 edition Mobile and Fax numbers have been included and with the ever increasing use of the computer, E-Mail and Website addresses have also been included.

Project 2009
Somerton Tourist Leaflet
As their project for 1995 the Association produced a Somerton Tourist Leaflet with the support of South Somerset District Council, Somerton Parish Council and Mid Somerset Rural Development Area Community Chest. These proved to be very popular and reprints were printed in 1997 and 2000.
In February 2007 a further revised version was printed 92,000 copies. This also made possible due to support from The Somerton Town Council and Somerton Tourism and Heritage Partnership.
The leaflets are available free from the Council Office in the Parish Rooms, the local Tourist Information Office in West Street or The London Cigarette Card Company Shop in West Street.
