CABARET NIGHT
*TICKETS SOLD OUT*
To end the 2007 Festival we have a wonderful evening of entertainment for you. We start the evening off with Rob Hendy (Sponsored by A D Accountancy Group) one of Cornwall's top professional comedy magicians specialising in comedy cabaret with a large amount of audience participation. Rob has worked all over the Country in various clubs and leading hotels including Shearings Holiday, Wallace Arnold, Haven, R N A S Culdrose and H M S Raleigh.
Following Rob, we will be entertained by Tim Pope (Sponsored by The Fox And Hounds). Tim's career began as a Butlins Redcoat and he was soon making his name in clubs as a stand-up comic. In 1993, Tim was voted Best Comedy Act after appearing at the South West Entertainer of the Year Awards and he hasn't looked back since. During recent years, he has been cruising around the Caribbean and the Canary Islands on The Black Prince and The Topaz cruise liners but is now keeping his feet firmly on land. To end the evening and a wonderful finale to this year's festival we have MARMALADE (Sponsored by H & M Motors). With their unique vocal harmonies and dynamic live performances, they have delighted audiences and the record buying public from the mid-sixties through to the new millennium on a world-wide basis. They have achieved multi-million number one selling records with "OB LA DI OB LA DA" and Reflections of my Life", both in the UK and the USA respectively. Since the "heady" days of the sixties, whilst retaining their Scottish roots, Marmalade have proved to be, not only a good time band, but a musical entity capable of transcending all types of music and generations. Marmalade are Sandy Newman –lead guitar / keyboard /lead vocal, Graham Knight bass guitar / vocal, Alan Holmes acoustic / electric guitar / keyboard/ vocal, Glenn Taylor drums / percussion / vocal. They have done for Scotland what the Beatles did for England… Put their native country on the world's musical map!
