TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR THE INDIVIDUAL COUNCIL COMMITTEE 'PUBLICATIONS':

The Publications Committee has the following areas of competence and responsibility:

1. The production of the annual ‘Somerton News’, distributed free to all households in the town.

2. The arrangement for commercial advertising etc. to meet the cost of production.

3. To produce other such publicity material, for circulation to the residents of the town, as is considered appropriate by the Town Council, in consultation with the Committee, for example the monthly leaflet, ‘Viaduct’.

4. To establish a written, annual budget, in the autumn of each year, for approval by the Town Council, to enable the approved publications to be produced, bearing in mind any likely shortfall in income from advertising.
