Thursday 2 June 12.30pm Somerton Town Council and Somerton Festival present the Royal Proclamation in the Town Square
At 1.00pm Steve Davis, the Town Crier, will read the Royal Proclamation which will be followed by everyone singing the National Anthem accompanied by the Somerton Town Band. Mid Wessex Singers will sing the ‘Platinum’ verse and then some excerpts from the Halleluiah Chorus and Les Miserables. Somerton Town Band will then play for a further 30 minutes.
