If you want to spend a day relaxing, enjoying lovely food, beautiful scenery and old town charm Somerton is the Place to visit.
There are many delights within the town including an old market place with a lovely Buttercross which is floodlit at night. Around and in the Market Place you can find the old Town Hall, which is now a gallery and workshop venue managed by ACEARTS, the old courthouse and arms houses. After spending the morning taking in some of what Somerton has to offer, why not take a break for morning coffee at one of our tearooms or public houses. There are many walks for all abilities which take you in and around Somerton. It also has the wonderful Viaduct Fishery specialising in course fishing with six well stocked lakes. Regular competitions with a beautiful and peaceful vista in which to relax in the heart of the Cary Valley.

Somerton has a lot to offer and is a Town that should definitely be on your itinerary when visiting the West Country. Our free car parks are an added bonus. With easy access to the M5 and A303 and bus routes from the surrounding large towns such as Bristol and Bath make Somerton easy to reach. We are sure you will enjoy the visit.
