Service Dogs in Action. Part of the Somerton Music and Arts Festival

A talk and demonstration by Nigel Rousell of Service Dogs UK.

Nigel will chat about the work in Somerton on the training of assistance dogs to work alongside military and blue light veterans suffering with PTSD, from how the rescue dogs are sourced and assessed, to placement and training. He will explain how the dogs are then trained with the veterans to interrupt anxiety, dissociation and nightmares, and much more. How, by using rescue dogs, we aim to rescue two lives at a time.

Ticket includes refreshments (tea, coffee and soft drinks).  There will also be a raffle and collection for Service Dogs UK.
